Design
Each lens sits on its own on the flat back. Gorilla Glass Victus 2 covers the front and back, the frame is Armor Aluminum, and the phone is rated IP68.
Lenses
The 50MP Wide, a 2x crop from it and a 10MP 3x Telephoto, plus a 12MP Ultra Wide for the 0.6x view. These are Samsung's photos of one scene from the Galaxy S24+, whose rear cameras have the same specs as the S23's. Pick a focal length to see it through each.

Nightography
The 12MP front camera focuses faster in low light, so night selfies and selfie video stay bright and clean. Samsung shot these on the S23+, which has the same front camera.
50MP
The 50MP Wide combines several frames into one high-resolution photo, so you can zoom in on the ironwork and still see it clearly. Samsung shot this on the S23+, which has the same Wide camera.
Photo Remaster
In the Gallery, Photo Remaster sharpens dark or blurry shots and old pictures, and cleans up GIFs too. Switch between the original and the remastered photo.

Galaxy AI
The One UI 6.1 update in 2024 brought Galaxy AI to the S23, including Circle to Search, Live Translate and Generative Edit. Pick a feature to see Samsung's demo, filmed on the Galaxy S24. Galaxy AI needs a Samsung Account, and some features need an internet connection.

The 6.1-inch FHD+ display runs at up to 120Hz, and Vision Booster adjusts colour and brightness in sunlight. Every Galaxy S23 runs the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy, with 8GB of RAM.
Battery and charging
That's 200 mAh more than the Galaxy S22. A 25W adapter, sold separately, takes it to 50% in about 30 minutes, and it charges wirelessly too.
